The ACES (Ageing of Concrete in Energy Structures) project has reached a major milestone: all planned deliverables have been approved by the European Commission. This achievement means that all non-confidential documents are now publicly accessible and ready for download on the ACES website.
What Do the Deliverables Include?
In total, 32 deliverables have been produced, covering a wide range of topics related to the ageing and long-term performance of concrete structures in nuclear power plants. Key areas include:
- Assessment of ageing and degradation – methodologies, models, and recommendations for managing the lifetime of concrete structures.
- Experimental results and case studies – data from corrosion measurements, destructive and non-destructive testing.
- Modelling and simulation – from phenomenological models to predictive simulations under LOCA conditions and irradiation effects.
- Guidelines for end-users – practical methodologies for evaluating structural integrity and safety.
- Dissemination and communication materials – including the communication plan, project flyer, website, and documentation from the mid-term and final workshops.
Publicly available outputs also include the agendas of the mid-term workshop and final workshop, summarizing key topics and discussions.
Why Is This Important?
The approval of all deliverables confirms the successful completion of the ACES project and provides the scientific and industrial community with valuable resources to improve the safety and reliability of concrete structures in nuclear facilities.
Where Can You Find the Documents?
All public deliverables are available for download in PDF format on the Deliverables section of the ACES website.
