His research work is primarily oriented into the development of electrochemical methods for monitoring and characterization of corrosion processes. He has more than 25 years of experiences on corrosion assessment of infrastructure in Slovenia. He is the author of patented ER sensors, the corrosion monitoring system used in this project. He actively participates in work of European Federation of Corrosion (EFC). His work is well documented in more than 50 scientific papers, which have been cited more than 800 times. He also acts as a reviewer of several scientific journals from the field of corrosion. He has been involved in numerous national and international research projects.
