Research scientist and engineer, WP 5 leader

Petr Štemberk is a professor in the Department of Concrete and Masonry Structures. His research covers design of new and retrofit of existing concrete structures, free form design, experimental investigation and numerical modeling of effect of radiation on concrete structures, mainly jointly with the research institutes of V4 countries and Belarus. He is the coordinator of RADCON project. He is active in assessment of existing NPPs in Czechia and Slovakia. Currently, he serves as the vice chair of the International Committee on Irradiated Concrete. He is also active in application of soft computing and AI in general to numerical modeling, design and construction processes for concrete structures.
